| 中文描述 | 旋毛蟲病很少發生在狗和貓。可能是因為吃到生的豬肉或被感染的食物，例如齧齒類。診斷上可利用尋找移行的囊胞幼蟲是否存在肌肉的活組織切片中、血液中是否有幼蟲或者糞便中是否有旋毛蟲(很少看到)。肌肉僵直和嗜伊紅性白血球增多症可能會有明顯的發生。 |

| 英文描述 | Trichinosis occurs rarely in the dog and cat. Infection may occur by ingestion of raw pork products or ingestion of infected prey, esp. rodents. Dx by finding migrating encysted larvae in muscle biopsy, larvae in blood, or (rarely) finding trichinae in the feces. Muscle stiffness and eosinophilia may be prominent. |
